Things to do in Saginaw, Michigan

In Saginaw, catch a nationally known concert, theater production and more at The Dow Event Center, the premiere entertainment venue of the tri-cities. The Dow features a 2,200-seat theater with an orchestra pit, a 7,300-seat arena and a connecting banquet hall. It is also home to the city's minor league hockey team, the Saginaw Spirit, where you can see the players before they make it big in the NHL. You can also catch a concert, film or play at the Temple Theatre, which opened in 1927 and is a 1,750-seat theater with a Barton organ that rises from the pit.

Saginaw is also full of culture. You can take in an exhibit at Saginaw Valley State University's Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum, or learn about Saginaw's origins at the Castle Museum of Saginaw County History, which features lectures, movies, historic area trolley rides and walks, boat tours and other special events. Housed in a historic lumber-era home, the Saginaw Art Museum features touring art exhibits, as well as exhibits from its own permanent collection.
